Milkman hatched plan to overthrow 'Jewish government'

A milkman who wanted to overthrow the government because he believed it had been taken over by Jews, pledged to "die fighting" for his cause, a court heard

Nicky Davison, 19, is accused at Newcastle Crown Court of being a co-founder of Aryan Strike Force, an on-line extremist neo-Nazi group.

His father Ian Davison, 41, a disc jockey, earlier admitted six charges, including terrorism and producing a chemical weapon. He was discovered in possession of ricin, which can prove fatal.


Violent teen accuses Jews of controlling government

A teenager had been planning violent attacks on the government because he claimed it had been taken over by Jews, a court has heard.

Nicky Davison, a 19-year-old milkman, was accused at Newcastle Crown Court of being a co-founder, with his father Ian, of a group called Aryan Strike Force, an on-line far right extremist group which wanted to topple the government because they believed it was dominated by Zionists and Jews.


Gateshead Jewish pupils injured in crash

Six Jewish school pupils were injured in a road accident in Hexham.

They were among 14 boys from Gateshead Jewish Boarding School whose minibus was involved in a crash with a lorry and a Renault Megane on the A69, near Haydon Bridge, last Friday.

The boys were taken to Newcastle General Hospital with minor injuries and were released later in the day.

The driver sustained leg injuries and his condition was reported as stable. The drivers of the other vehicles suffered minor injuries.


North Tyneside: 100 candles for Holocaust Memorial

A ceremony in remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust and other genocides took place at North Tyneside's Council Chamber. The event, hosted by the chairman of North Tyneside Council, Councillor Michael Huscroft, Mayor Councillor Linda Arkley and the borough's Holocaust Memorial Committee, culminated in the lighting of 100 candles.

'Antisemitic' abuse at Salita match

The rabbi who accompanied boxer Dmitriy Salita to his fight against Amir Khan has expressed his shock at antisemitic abuse levelled at the Orthodox boxer and his supporters.

During the fight an Orthodox man was assaulted and abuse was hurled at Salita as he made his way to the ring.

The man from Manchester suffered a cut face when a drinks can was hurled at him along with antisemitic abuse during the Salita boxing match.

“After 76 seconds it was all hell let loose,” said the 45-year-old who wore a kippah to the fight.


Salita is boxing clever with pre-fight minyan

Newcastle Hebrew Congregation’s Rabbi Dovid Lewis is helping boxer Dmitriy Salita prepare for the fight of his life.

Before the religiously observant Salita challenges Britain’s Amir Khan for the WBA light-welterweight title on Saturday night in Newcastle, Rabbi Lewis will be organising a Shabbat minyan and meal in the boxer’s hotel. The rabbi also hopes to attend the fight, along with members of the Newcastle and Gateshead communities.
