Sam Shindler-Glass achieved a clear victory in the under-17 race in the Young Athletes League at Trent Park.

Staying with the pack for the first quarter of the race, Shindler-Glass, then built up a clear lead to win by 16 seconds.

Jessica Hurley of Shaftesbury Barnet placed second in a close finish in the under-13 girls event. She said: “I couldn’t quite catch the leader at the end, but I was very pleased my race.”

JFS pupil Ben Hatch placed fourth in the boys’ under-15 event.
