Israel coach Eyal Ran believes his squad will have to overcome all the odds after drawing France in the World Group.

That was the reward following a superb performance in the playoff against Japan where Amir Weintraub was the star of the show as Israel sealed the decisive rubber to cement a 3-2 victory.

Ran said: "France have a great Davis Cup tradition, with four players ranked in the top 30. It will be really tough for us."
