The first Herefordshire Jewish Community service held in Monmouth also marked the official acceptance into Judaism of Andrea Berry-Ottaway, the long-serving HJC secretary.

Former members of the community from all over the country were among the congregation and the service was led by Rabbi Aaron Goldstein, who supported Ms Berry-Ottaway throughout her conversion process.

The Herefordshire congregation covers Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Monmouthshire and Gloucestershire and meets on a monthly basis in venues throughout the four counties.
