South Manchester were crushed by 197 runs against league leaders Ashton Allstars crushed in the Greater Manchester Amateur League.
Steven Glicher's troops faced an uphill struggle from the start as Ashton racked up the runs with one of their batsmen registering a century.
Ashton recorded a total of 262-8, with David Cohen, Josh Eady and Akiva Lieberman each taking two wickets.
South were never in contention despite another solid contribution from the in-form Lieberman (22).
South were eventually dismissed for 65, leaving them seventh in the table.
Glicher hopes his team will learn from the defeat and improve. "We were well beaten by a far better side, though our ground fielding and bowling was pretty reasonable.
"They are top of the league and were just a better team."
South take on Knight Riders on Sunday.
Glicher said: "We have to move forward and learn from what happened."
