Israel's deputy ambassador Alon Roth-Snir responded to a call from Liverpool Jewry for the embassy to engage more with the regions.
A question-and-answer session at Childwall Synagogue on Monday was attended by 120 people.
Mr Roth-Snir told his audience that embassy staff were few in number and limited in time and welcomed detailed direction from community members. Taking questions on the unfolding Middle East unrest, he said Israel was waiting to see how the situation in Libya and Egypt developed.
On Tuesday morning he addressed 300 pupils at Liverpool's King David High.
