London Maccabi Lions Under 13s booked their place in the Phil Spanjer Under Southern Maccabi National Cup final after beating Alyth Belsize 4-0.
On the first warmer Sunday afternoon of the year, on a tacky pitch in Hendon, the Lions produced a solid performance to secure a final spot.
The Lions had the majority of the play in the match and created a myriad, née plethora of chances, finding the net four times, and hitting the bar twice.
After a superb early Lions move, the inimitable Jack Reece hit the first goal in the first 10 minutes after a great volley.
The Lions continued to press and hit the bar twice in two minutes. Firstly a Reece header cannoned off the bar, and a Johnny Daitz shot followed the same route and agonisingly back into play.
With 29 minutes on the clock Adam Abadi picked up the ball and fired an unstoppable rapier-like shot into the Alyth net. 2-0 was the half-time score.
Kicking down the slight camber in the second half, the Lions continued to press and press, with the sporadic Alyth attacks truncating the action. From a corner and following a six- yard box mêlée, Ben Myers poked home for 3-0.
Andy Gilbert and Dan Reuben worked tirelessly on the wings, supplying great balls for the forwards to feast on, and Justin Mullem, Jack Green and Dom Feldman were trojans in the Lions midfield and defence.
Jake Krais made two great saves in the second half, and one in particular from a swift Alyth breakaway.
With 12 minutes to go, after a flowing move, Jack Martin carried the ball to the right of the area and fired home hard and low for 4-0 to the Lions.
The final is at Wingate & Finchley on May 16.
