Redbridge Jewish Care dominated AJY finals day at Redbridge FC.
The East London club enjoyed a clean sweep of the three matches they were involved in with the Under 17 team starting proceedings with a 7-1 win over HMH to land the Woody’s Cup.
Jake Sander (2), Max Solomons, Jacob Kaye, Oliver Brooks, Kane Hopps and Greg Sinclair completed the rout. Josh Fox claimed HMH’s consolation.
The Under 14 Woody’s Cup saw RJC complete a cup double over the Highgate club.
Alyth Belsize Yellow succumbed to RJC Under 12s in the Woody’s Cup while HIS Hendon United ensured that one club from north west London finished with silverware after beating Hendon Hawks Broncos.
RJCC Centre Manager Richard Shone said: "It was evident to all of us present that the boys and their managers had put in a lot of hard work throughout the season and this paid off with a hat-trick of victories.
"I was extremely impressed with the quality of the football played today in all three of the cup finals, but the successful teams were made up of a lot of talented individuals all pulling together and performing as a great team."
In the league, Joshua Sarna-Star scored in both parts of a double header as HMH Red had the better of things against Under 10 rivals Brady Maccabi White. He earned HMH a draw in the opener with Thomas Lee on target for Brady. Sarna-Star scored the only goal in the follow-up.
Stonegrove Park and HIS Hendon United Blue claimed a win apiece. United won match one 4-1 with Ben Sugarman scoring the consolation. Reuben Joshua was Stonegrove’s matchwinner in part two.
