Leeds JNF J-Uni were crowned champions Joan Collins Premier Division after the 5-0 demolition of Westdene Reserves saw them open a 19-point lead. Josh Rubin (2), Daniel Henig, Jonathan Green and Elliot Wallis did the damage.
Two goals from Yishai Last earned Oakhill Lions a 2-0 victory over Republic of Mancunia.
Crumpsall beat Westdene 1st 5-2 but soon after the final whistle, a spokesman said: “To say that Westdene had anger management issues would be an understatement.”
Boss Zevi Saunders accused Adam Leker of a violent and disgusting studs-up stamp on Zaki Pfeffer when the referee had his back turned. He said: “This was the end result of a long hour of wind-ups and bad mouthing.
“Westdene for some reason see the need to supplement their undeniable talent with constant dirty tricks and by mouthing their opinions on each and every incident. It is a testament to Pfeffer’s self control, as nobody, not even the Westedene players would have begrudged him retaliating after Leker drove him to breaking point all match. Credit must go to the Westdene manager Steve Davies who withdrew Leker before he either got sent off or injured somebody.
The referee had a tough afternoon and needed all his diplomatic skills to keep this match from boiling over. He decided only to give a yellow card to Ovadia Klyne who flung himself to his left, both arms outstretched like a goalkeeper in a full dive, in a desperate effort to claw the ball two handed out of the air to stop Yossi Saunders going clean through.
A game that was finally poised at 2-2 turned into Crumpsall’s finest victory of this league campaign as they edged ahead through two Uri Steinburg goals and a diving <>header from a great corner from Matt Jacobs.
