WOODFORD WANDERERS 1 HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 6
Hendon showed their class in Willesden as they put six past Division One title hopefuls Woodford.
Strikes from Avidan Last (2), Yishai Last (2), Ari Last and Danny Kon eased Hendon through.
Delighted Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "This was a very satisfying performance - we were delighted to get the boots back on - even if they were 3G ones - and we showed no signs of rustiness whatsoever in a truly dominant display.
"We scored some great team goals - most of them finished by someone with a surname Last - and defensively we were pretty sound as well despite missing most of our usual back four.
"We are certainly enjoying this competition this year - that is now 39 goals in four rounds, but it will only be worth it if we now actually go on and win it. Into the semis is an exciting place to be and we are desperate to get to Wingate.
"Woodford had their moments today and they shouldn't be too hard on themselves - they were unlucky to catch us on a really good day and I'm sure we will be meeting them again next year in the Premier League.
"From 1 to 11 we were excellent today, but I would single out Avi Korman at the back and Yoav Lebens and Danny Kon in midfield, as well as Yishai and Avidan last up front. Avidan's second goal today was a certain contender for team goal of the season.
"We have secured the excellent pitch we played on today for the next two weeks so the next focus will be on trying to make up some games in the league - we are just the nine games ( half a season) behind Norstar, but we spoke today about the second half of the season officially starting now and as of now we are still unbeaten domestically in all competitions and there is a steely determination to keep it that way for as long as possible.
"L'Orange will need a lot of ice as their champers will need to be kept cold for about three months."
Jason Goldstein registered for Woodford.
Woodford boss Tony Charles told JC Sport: "Today was a great opportunity to rotate the squad and try out some new things in a game that disrupted our outstanding league campaign. Some of what we did worked and some didn't - those that didn't work affected the result."
