Pini Zahavi, the Israeli super-agent, has been recruited by Roman Abramovich to help rebuild Chelsea following the appointment Andre Villas-Boas.

Sources in Israel confirm that Zahavi has been in Brazil for several days in an attempt to persuade Santos striker Neymar, 19, to come to London.

Chelsea are reportedly prepared to pay £40 million for the teenager but Zahavi faces competition from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Israel striker Eran Zahavi has joined Palermo of Serie A on a five-year deal.
