A Jewish man from Brooklyn was beaten and mugged during Hurricane Sandy.

The gang of five took advantage of the empty streets and attacked the man at 7pm on Monday.

The attackers kicked their victim repeatedly and knocked him unconscious. While the man was lying on the ground bleeding, the five stole his wallet and phone.

The victim was taken to hospital.

The incident was recorded by a surveillance camera and published on the Crown Heights Info website.

Police are currently examining the video for clues as to the gang members' identities.
