Egyptian candid camera reveals hatred for Jews
An Egyptian hidden camera show has revealed casual hatred for Jews that is at play in the country.
During the programme a group of well-known Egyptian actors, who were duped into believing that they were being interviewed for an Israeli show, physically attacked the presenters and smashed up furniture in the studio. One swore at the "Israelis", calling them "sons of bitches", while another said: "I hate the Jews to death."
Assuming that the spoof presenters were Israelis, the actors hit the female presenter until she fell to the floor and attacked the supposed Israeli producer.
Another actress who was duped on the programme was recording criticising Israelis for "whining about the Holocaust, or whatever it's called…and its lousy figures".
She added: " They are the slayers of the prophets, what else can we say about them?… Allah did not curse the worm and the moth as much as he cursed the Jews."
The footage was broadcast on Egypt's Al-Nahar channel, and later transcribed by the Washington-based Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).
