Cameron: Tell Holocaust stories in all UK schools
David Cameron has praised the work of the Holocaust Educational Trust and called for the stories of survivors to be told to children across Britain.
The prime minister, asked by MP Louise Ellman during Prime Minister's Questions to comment ahead of Friday's international Holocaust Memorial Day, said he strongly supported the trust's work.
He told parliament that he had been inspired by the stories he heard at Tuesday's HET memorial event, including those of Ben Helfgott, a survivor who went on to compete in the Olympic Games.
"It was a fantastic story," he said. "We need to make sure that these stories are told in all of our schools, right across the country. That is the work of the HET and it is work I strongly support."
