EU votes to label settlement products

The European Parliament has expressed its support for putting special labels on consumer goods produced in West Bank, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights settlements. 

A total of 525 EU parliamentarians voted for the motion on Thursday; 70 voted against and 31 abstained.

UN Human Rights Council backs report on 'Gaza war crimes'

Benjamin Netanyahu has condemned the UN Human Rights Council’s decision to back a controversial report on the Gaza war.

Friday’s resolution supported the report produced by the Gaza Conflict Commission of Inquiry. It had accused Israel and terrorist group Hamas of committing war crimes during the 50 day conflict last summer.

Israel braced for wave of UN pressure over peace talks

UN session targets Israel

On Monday, the first day of the UN Human Rights Council's thrice-yearly meeting on global abuses, Israel was accused of deliberately targeting civilians and violating human rights in the 50-day Gaza war last summer.

Hillel Neuer, director of UN Watch, a human-rights NGO based in Geneva, called it a "Hate Israel Day".

Israel was discussed under Agenda Item 7.
