UJS Sheldon apologies to ZF's Hoffman

UJS Campaigns Director Dan Sheldon has apologised for linking Zionist Federation co-vice-chair Jonathan Hoffman with the English Defence League.

Mr Sheldon clashed with Mr Hoffman during a heated debate hosted by Leeds JSoc two weeks ago, over UJS’s “Liberation” campaign.

NUS scraps former anti-Israel policy

The National Union of Students has scrapped its anti-Israel policy and replaced it with a motion backing a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

NUS will now encourage student unions to host round-table debates on the situation in the Middle East and promote interfaith initiatives on campus.
