Palestinian attacker shot after disguising himself as a journalist

A Palestinian knifeman wearing a press vest has been shot after stabbing an Israeli soldier in the West Bank.

The attacker was shot and killed by other troops in Kiryat Arba after wounding the soldier, who was standing metres away from a protest.

Death and terror as attacks engulf Israel

The violence followed the murder of Eitam and Naama Henkin a fortnight ago. By Wednesday seven Israelis were dead.

Last Thursday, a 25-year-old yeshivah student was stabbed in the neck and chest near Jerusalem’s railway station.

Israeli security cabinet authorises new measures aimed at curbing Palestinian violence

Israel’s government has authorised security measures to combat the violence sweeping the country.

Soldiers will be deployed on public transport and police will have powers to seal off East Jerusalem and impose a curfew.

Authorities will be able to demolish homes of Palestinians who have been involved in attacks.

Zionist Federation hits back over protest criticism

The Zionist Federation (ZF) has defended its plans for a communal protest outside the Palestinian embassy in west London.

An open letter, signed by more than 140 members of the community, had condemned the ZF and co-organisers the Board of Deputies for what they said was an inflammatory, divisive demonstration.

Israel supporters set to face counter-protest from pro-Palestinians at London rally

Israel supporters planning a rally outside the Palestinian mission in London will be faced by a counter-protest from pro-Palestinians.

Groups including the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Jews for Justice for Palestinians, Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods and the Jewish Socialist Group say they will be present outside the venue on Tuesday evening.

Israeli teenager injured in stab attack as violence continues

A teenager was the latest Israeli to be stabbed as violent attacks continued across the country.

The victim, thought to be aged 13, was knifed in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighbourhood of Jerusalem while riding his bike. He is said to be in a serious condition.

A second man, aged 20, was also stabbed during the incident at around 3pm local time.
