Crunch time as judge denies prisoner's matzah request

A judge in New York has ruled that a Jewish prisoner does not deserve a weekly portion of matzah.

Southern District Judge Shira Scheindlin ruled that Christopher Henry's request was not wrongfully denied.

Israelis warned of riot security on UK visits

Israel has issued a travel advisory to any citizens planning a trip to the UK.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office frequently issues guidance to travellers planning on going to Israel, but this week the tables turned.

As images of rioting and looting were transmitted on television screens around the world, the Israeli Foreign Ministry stopped short of issuing a serious travel warning.

Neo-Nazis fall for wash and go T-shirt trick

Anti-extremism campaigners in Germany have hit upon a novel idea to expose neo-Nazi supporters.

A group called Exit Deutschland, which is dedicated to helping people turn away from far-right ideology, set up a stall at a nationalist music festival in the German twon of Gera.

Israeli kids to be told 'Go the F*** to Sleep'

A children's book with a particularly unusual message is set to be published in Hebrew.

Adam Mansbach's book Go the F*** to Sleep has been a runaway success since it was published in June.

Described as a children's book for adults, it was developed from a jokey Facebook post prompted by Mr Mansbach's toddler daughter's refusal to go to sleep.

Home needed for kitten with Hitler moustache

A kitten with an unfortunate resemblance to the Nazi leader is recovering in an animal shelter after being abandoned.

The cat, nicknamed Kitler, sports an unusual black marking on her face in the style of Adolf Hitler's distinctive moustache.

She also has a black patch by her ears, not dissimilar from Hitler's dark hair, and another on her arms that could be mistaken for a Nazi armband.

For just £1.49, you can now download the "Judoku" app, described as "Sudoku for Jews".

Rather than the numbers of the original addictive Japanese puzzle, Judoku involves a grid of Jewish symbols and Hebrew numbers.
