While Stacey Solomon sings her way towards TV stardom, her dad David is busy capturing happy memories as a simchah photographer. His speciality is Charedi dos, judging from the smiling couples in his online gallery such as Betzalel and Esty, Moshe and Sheina, Shloimele and Miriam.

Pity they don’t allow women wedding singers at frum functions, because I am sure Stacey does a mean Siman Tov Umazeltov.

After two heavy nights competing in one of Britain’s most watched television shows, what better way to wind down than enjoying some of Golders Green’s finest products — falafel and shwarma.

X Factor finalists took advice from Jewish contestant Stacey Solomon, 20, and ate at the White House Express in Golders Green Road two nights in a row last weekend.

Ronnie Canzee, whose family owns the White House chain, said: “Stacey was giving them advice on what the best things were to try.

A music teacher at King Solomon High School has spoken of the “big impression” made on her by X Factor finalist, Stacey Solomon, who this week moved into Golders Green.

Rachel Dickson, who taught Stacey during her music GCSE three years ago, said she was delighted to see Stacey sing one of her exam performance pieces — Somewhere Over the Rainbow — in last week’s programme.

“My first impression of Stacey Solomon was of a chatty, lively girl with a powerful voice and a huge personality,” she said.
