Charlie Sheen fired from TV show for 'moral turpitude'

Actor Charlie Sheen has officially lost his primetime television role after producers announced that he had been fired from the sitcom, Two and a Half Men, for good.

The decision comes after the series was put on hold in the wake of Mr Sheen’s increasingly bizarre behaviour and alleged drug abuse.

John Galliano, Charlie Sheen discuss their Jewish roots

Former Two and a half Men actor Charlie Sheen has claimed he has a Jewish mother, while disgraced fashion designer John Galliano is said to be obsessed with his “Jewish” roots.

Mr Sheen, who last week was accused of “borderline antisemitism” by the Anti-Defamation League following comments about his Jewish manager, said he was proud of his Jewish background.

Charlie Sheen: ADL's antisemitism claim untrue and malicious

Actor Charlie Sheen has accused the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) of libel after the organisation’s national director called the actor’s remarks about his Jewish manager “borderline antisemitic”.

The star, known for the now on-hold series Two and a Half Men, has been the subject of media gossip in recent weeks for increasingly erratic behaviour, including alleged drug use and violence.

Hollywood star for Israel conductor Zubin Mehta

Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) conductor Zubin Mehta’s five-decade career has been marked by his induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Mr Mehta was joined by colleagues, as well as his wife Nancy and actor Kirk Douglas, when he became the 2434th recipient of a star on the famous Beverley Hills boulevard.

Sex and the City designer Fields defends 'theatrical' Galliano

Sex and the City costume designer Patricia Field has compared John Galliano’s allegedly antisemitic rants to the satirical film The Producers.

She told Women’s Wear Daily that Mr Galliano, who was fired as chief designer for Christian Dior yesterday in the wake of the scandal, was just “acting out of character” when he professed his love for Adolf Hitler.

Corey Feldman: why wasn't Corey Haim in Oscars tribute?

The childhood best friend of the late teen star Corey Haim has criticised the organisers of the Oscars for leaving him out of a memorial montage at Sunday’s ceremony.

Corey Feldman, who co-starred with Corey Haim in Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys when they were both teenagers, said the decision had been a failure on the part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
