Amy Winehouse death due to 'misadventure'

A coroner has ruled that Amy Winehouse's death was due to "misadventure".

An inquest, which took place in Camden today, heard that the singer had been drinking on the day she died. Coroner Suzanne Greenaway gave her verdict on the basis that Ms Winehouse had chosen to consume alcohol and risked the consequences.

Amy Winehouse report sent to wrong address

Police are investigating why a report into the circumstances of Amy Winehouse's death was delivered to the wrong address.

Although the Metropolitan Police did not detail the contents of the report, they confirmed that it contained material "relating to a forthcoming inquest".

Former Corrie star Gaynor Faye to join Emmerdale

Jewish actress Gaynor Faye is to join the cast of Emmerdale.

The Leeds-born actress, 40, will appear in the long-running soap from the beginning of next year.

Ms Faye, who started in Coronation Street for four years, is also known for the series Fat Friends, which she wrote and acted in.

'Racist' film Drives woman to court battle

A disgruntled film fan is suing a cinema after the action film she booked tickets for turned out to contain "dehumanising racism" towards Jews.

Sarah Deming, from Michigan, bought tickets for Drive having viewed the film's trailer, which and seen publicity that suggested it was similar to the Fast and Furious franchise.

Amy Winehouse's father will release a biography of the singer next year.

Mitch Winehouse revealed on Monday that he had signed a book deal to tell the true story of his daughter's life and career.

The book, described as "a heartfelt and revelatory memoir" will be published by It Books next summer, a year after the death of the 27-year-old singer.
