Crematorium planned near Nazi concentration camp

Campaigners have called on the Polish authorities to halt construction work on a crematorium just minutes from the site of a Nazi concentration camp.

Majdanek, located on the outskirts of Lublin, was one of six key Nazi camps and around 80,000 people were murdered there during the Holocaust.

Nazi descendants attend Holocaust memorial service

DESCENDANTS of Nazi SS officers will oppose antisemitism and commemorate Holocaust victims as they participate in the March of Life event on Thursday, August 23.

Fifty people descended from Nazi SS, Wehrmacht and German police officers working under Hitler’s regime, will attend the organisation’s main ceremony in Warsaw.

Poland’s general prosecutor has called off a year-long investigation into antisemitism on some of Poland’s largest internet portals and websites. The decision was taken, according to the general prosecutor’s office, “because of lack of public interest”.
