For sale: Oxford's Hebrew manor house

The Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies is to sell its historic premises at Yarnton Manor for a new home in the city.

First Israeli student to receive scholarship at British university

The first scholarship programme to support an Israeli at a British university has welcomed its inaugural student.

Elad Almog will spend a year studying for a Masters in international hotel and tourism marketing at Oxford Brookes University as part of the Scholarship for Israel scheme.

Daniel Taub salutes Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies at gala dinner

Israel Ambassador Daniel Taub saluted the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies at a gala dinner to celebrate its 40th anniversary. And Mr Taub can claim first-hand knowledge of its benefits — he once was a student there.

While an undergraduate at Oxford, he took a course in Yiddish at the centre with legendary teacher, Dovid Katz.
