ADL accuse Roger Waters over boycott call

The Anti-Defamation League has accused rock musician Roger Waters of 'anti-Jewish sentiment' in his call for a boycott of Israel.

In an open letter to the Pink Floyd guitarist published on the organisation's website, ADL national director wrote that Mr Waters' recent statements were "colored by offensive and dangerous undercurrents of anti-Jewish sentiment".

American rappers and Yiddishe mothers may not share many traits, but it has emerged that they have one great love in common: Jewish lawyers.

Jay Z, Cam’ron, Kanye West and Jim Jones are just some of the hip-hop stars to have rhymed about their affection for their Semitic solicitors.

Bar Refaeli hits out at Pink Floyd's Roger Waters over Israel boycott

Model Bar Refaeli has challenged Pink Floyd guitarist and singer Roger Waters over his boycott of Israel.

The Israeli said she wanted Mr Waters to stop using an image of her in the background of his concerts after he urged activists to declare a cultural boycott of the country.

The British musician is a long-standing advocate of boycott, divestment and sanctions.

BBC to cut Kennedy slur from Proms broadcast

Anti-Israel statements made by renowned violinist Nigel Kennedy will be cut from a BBC Proms television broadcast later this month.

Mr Kennedy used a Royal Albert Hall performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons last week to launch a thinly-veiled attack on Israel, likening the country to apartheid South Africa.

UK gets the chance to see another side of Bob Dylan

The times they are a ’changin’ for superstar Bob Dylan, whose next big event in London is not a tour date but the opening of the first UK exhibition of his art work.

The National Portrait Gallery is to display 12 specially commissioned portraits by Dylan from August 24 in a move that will introduce another side of the star to his thousands of British fans.

Art by Bob Dylan to be shown in London for the first time

Artworks by Bob Dylan are to be shown by a gallery in Britain for the first time, it was announced this week.

Twelve new pastel portraits drawn by the rock legend will be displayed in the National Portrait Gallery in London in an exhibition called Bob Dylan: Face First.

Tom Jones to play in Israel

Pop icon Tom Jones has announced that he will be performing in Israel this autumn.

The 73 - year - old Welsh singer is due to appear at the Nokia Stadium in Tel Aviv on October 26 in a one-off concert.

Meanwhile Eric Burdon, former lead singer of 60s rock band The Animals, has reversed his decision to cancel a gig in Israel.
