In partnership with UJIA, Maccabi GB held its second Enable event, involving people with disabilities in sporting activities.

Held at the JCoSS premises in Barnet, the morning session was for the under-18s. The afternoon programme catered for adults.

Maccabi cash crisis deepens

Manchester Maccabi's financial crisis has deepened, leaving it threatened with selling part or all of its newly developed premises in order to meet £60,000 debts and cash-flow problems.

Last week, the Prestwich-based club, which sees more than 1,000 people use its facilities weekly, admitted it was in financial crisis after a drop in income of £130,000 over the past two years.

High security as Israeli side Maccabi arrive in Turkey

The team was greeted by more than 2,500 policemen, and throughout their stay in Turkey players will be under police protection.

Israel-Turkey tension hurts Maccabi Europa chances

Israeli soldiers who play for the Maccabi Tel Aviv team will not be able to play in Turkey next week, following the breakdown in diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Despite the political dispute, the match against the Bestikas team for the Europa League is set to proceed.
