Lord Sugar: Nobody should vote for Ken Livingstone as mayor

A high-profile Labour peer has publicly stated that voters should not back Ken Livingstone to be mayor of London.

Lord Sugar, the Apprentice boss and millionaire entrepreneur, wrote on Twitter: "I don't care if Ed Miliband is backing Livingstone.

"I seriously suggest NO ONE votes for Livingstone in the Mayoral elections."

Lord Sugar attacks 'fast buck' culture of young at The Apprentice launch

Lord Sugar has criticised young people for "waiting for the opportunity" to become the next Steve Jobs instead of taking the initiative to set up their own businesses.

Speaking at the launch of the eighth series of The Apprentice, which premieres next Wednesday on BBC1, the Amstrad millionaire expressed hope that the series would instill "some kind of enterprise culture" in young people.

Poster dauber given community service

A Cairo-born man who scrawled graffiti on posters featuring Jews will not face a custodial sentence or have to pay compensation.

Yacoub Osman, who daubed angry comments such as "F**k Israel" and a swastika symbol on posters of Lord Sugar and Jewish film director Steven Spielberg at Chalk Farm tube station, was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has seen his fortune rise by nearly £3 billion in the last year in a bumper year for Britain's wealthiest people.
