Liberal Democrat MP wants medicine from Israel labelled

A Liberal Democrat MP has called for medicines produced in Israel to be labelled as such.

But Sir Bob Russell, who represents Colchester, said he would have no problem using Israeli-made pharmaceuticals “provided that I was made aware of this”.

The Holocaust Educational Trust ran three fringe meetings at this year’s party conferences exploring the influence of the internet and social media on the Holocaust.

Call for Clegg to act after Tonge's latest Israel rant

The Liberal Democrats have distanced themselves from comments made by party peer Jenny Tonge during an Israel Apartheid Week event.

Speaking to an audience at Middlesex University's Free Palestine Society she said Israel would "not last forever".

"Israel will lose support and then they will reap what they have sown," she added.
