By Jennifer Lipman, October 4, 2010

Will Katie get X-Factor axe?

After all the excitement over Stacey Solomon last year, is there anyone with the J-factor this year?

Step up Katie Waissel (left) from Hertfordshire, who made her mark at last week's X Factor audition by forgetting the lines to Queen's We Are the Champions and successfully persuading the judges to let her do another song instead.

But the participation of the part-time receptionist - who went under the name Katie Vogel aka Katie V when we spoke to her about her singing ambitions a few months ago - may
be short-lived.

X Factor hopeful Katie Waissel has run into controversy just days after appearing in the first programme in the series.

Katie Vogel turns her reality-TV music into a real-world album

By Candice Krieger, January 7, 2010

Singer and online reality star Katie Vogel, aka Katie V, has released her debut song collection on vinyl, written during her time on Green-Eyed World, a hit web series.

Green-Eyed World was a reality TV show which followed north London’s Miss Vogel, 23, as she travelled to the United States in search of a career in the music business.

She was picked from over 200 women to star in the programme.

The resulting EP, From Under the Covers, introduces her voice to many for the first time.
