Are you ready to go into the Dragon's Den?

Aspiring entrepreneurs will have a chance to make their own trip to the Dragons Den, thanks to a joint initiative between LJCC FUSION, the Jewish Chronicle and Barclays Bank.

A handful of lucky winners will get the chance to present their concept to an expert panel, in front of a live audience at Ivy House.


JC Dragons' Den winner picks up James Dyson award

A former winner of the JC's Dragons' Den competition has gone on to claim victory in a prestigious innovation and design award.

Michael Korn was named the winner of this year's UK James Dyson award for his KwickScreen invention, which gives hospital patients privacy even in shared wards.


It's Dragons' Den Time

The Dragons' Den is back. The JC, in partnership with the London Jewish Cultural Centre, is once again staging its own Dragons' Den.

The finalists have been chosen and will be pitching their ideas in front of the Dragons on Monday June 27th at the London Jewish Cultural Centre.

Technology chief Jonathan Kestenbaum set for Lords

The former manager of Great Britain’s Maccabiah Team is expected to be named as a Labour peer later today.

Jonathan Kestenbaum, chief executive of the endowment fund for science and technology (NESTA), has been tipped to be included on a list of as many as 50 new working peers to be announced by Downing Street.

Jewish academic Dr Maurice Glasman and former Labour MP Oona King are also expected to be given peerages, as are Andrew Feldman, the joint chairman of the Conservative party, and the party’s treasurer Stanley Fink.


JC Dragon's Den winner: Michael Korn

Medical inventor Michael Korn was the runaway winner of this year's Dragons' Den competition organised by the JC and the London Jewish Cultural Centre.

He wowed the judges with his KwickScreen, a versatile, retractable screen that creates temporary partitions between hospital beds.

The KwickScreen was launched three years ago and has already a proven a hit with the medical world.


Green couple chosen to head 2010 JCC Games

JCC Games

Helena and Brian Green have been selected as Heads of Delegation for the 2010 JCC Games in Denver from July 29 to August 9.

They have appointed a management team to cover girls and boys football, golf, tennis, track and field and swimming. The first boys football trial attracted 54 players at Rowley Lane and the squad seeks trialists for other sports.

Former secretary Rosie Ben-Shushan has won the Dragons’ Den-style competition run by the JC and London Jewish Cultural Centre with her novel kosher food range. It has been a remarkable journey for the single mother who overcame family tragedy to establish her business.


Pitching to the Dragons
