End Israel envoy strike, British supporters urge Bibi

British supporters of Israel have written to the country’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu urging him to act to end the Foreign Ministry strike.

Israel’s diplomats are locked in a year-long dispute over pay and conditions, closing embassies and consular services across the world as a result.

David Cameron has delivered a wide-ranging speech to the Knesset, addressing every aspect of Britain's relationship with Israel.

The Prime Minister told the Israeli Parliament that he was resolutely opposed to boycotts and delegitimisation, and would steadfastly oppose threats to shechita and Jewish practices in Britain.

Israel’s Foreign Service Workers’ Association has repeatedly stated that staff would not co-operate or assist with preparations for Mr Cameron's visit on Wednesday.

Ed Miliband announces Israel visit

Labour leader Ed Miliband is expected to make an official visit to Israel within the next three months, the JC can reveal.

The trip is scheduled to be one of the Opposition leader’s first major foreign trips and will come a year before the General Election.

Mr Miliband is also due to be the keynote speaker at the Community Security Trust’s annual dinner in London next month.
