A peace activist from Gaza who has been denied entry to Britain plans to address a London audience next month —by internet.

Former Palestinian militant Mohammed Abu Muailek used to fire rockets at Israel but renounced violence, leading to his arrest and imprisonment by Hamas.

Hamas gets a hearing in House of Commons

An organisation which has featured Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh at a seminar is to hold a meeting at the House of Commons, with the support of five Labour MPs.

MPs Sir Gerald Kaufman, Andy Slaughter, Jeremy Corbyn and Andy Love are the guest speakers at the Palestinian Return Centre's (PRC) meeting on June 18 at the House of Commons to mark International Refugee Day.

Gaza: five years of Hamas rule

To outward appearances, commerce with Gaza is booming. Convoys of lorries carrying a wide variety of food products make their way into the Strip from Israel, 150 truckloads a day, through the Karni crossing. On the roads of northern Sinai, vast loads of cement sacks and building materials are also proceeding, at a slightly slower pace, towards the crossing at Rafah.

FCO: No talks with Hamas

The Foreign Office has flatly denied Hamas claims that Britain is one of five European Union countries which have held secret talks with the militant Palestinian organisation in recent months.

According to an Associated Press report on Wednesday night, Hamas foreign affairs representative Osama Hamdan said that it had discussed its position on the Middle East process with European officials.

Hamas number two: All deals with Israel will be temporary

An official high-up in the Hamas terrorist group has vowed to tear up agreements with Israel if it wins control of a future Palestinian state.

Moussa Abu Marzouk, who is said to be the organisation's second most powerful figure, told the Forward newspaper that any deal or treaty with Israel would be temporary.

UK government criticises Gaza death penalty for 'collaborator'

A British government minister has express concern about the execution of three men in Gaza this weekend, including one killed for allegedly collaborating with Israel.

Hamas announced that the death penalty was enforced on the weekend, with the other two of those killed found guilty of murder.

Moyle twins with Gaza

One of Northern Ireland's smallest towns has officially twinned with Gaza City, after months of political argument.

The chairman of Moyle District Council attended a ceremony in the Palestinian city on Monday night.

Moyle, in County Antrim, has a population of 15,000 and is home to the world-famous Giant's Causeway.
