I begged Hamas for a ceasefire, but they said: No, bring it on

I spent hours this week trying to convince my main Hamas contact to speak to his leaders to call for an immediate, unconditional, 24-hour ceasefire in order to stop the escalation.

My message made it all the way up to Khaled Mashal, Hamas's leader. I wanted to help prevent the inevitable deaths of innocent people and the destruction that this war would cause.

Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel will increase assault on Hamas

Rockets rain down on Israel, from Beersheva to Haifa

More than 120 rockets have been fired on Israel from the Gaza strip in the past 24 hours.

The Israeli Defence Force said it had struck more than 160 Hamas terror bases in Gaza in response, killing 20 Palestinians.

The IDF said its current ‘Protective Edge’ operation would continue until firing at Israel stops.

Jewish suspects ‘confess’ to murder of Arab teen

Violence as Arab teenager is buried in Jerusalem

A riot erupted in East Jerusalem after Palestinian teenager Mohammed Abu Khdair was buried this afternoon.

Thousands of people attended the 17-year-old’s funeral near Shuafat after his burnt body was discovered on Wednesday morning, according to reports.
