PA officials pocket fifth of West Bank GDP

While the Palestinian economy is in a state of "severe fiscal crisis", wages for Palestinian Authority staff eat up a staggering 20 per cent of GDP, according to a World Bank report released on Wednesday.

The report also points out that international aid has kept the Palestinian welfare state running but has not succeeded in kick-starting the private sector.

Palestinian boy died from gunshots not Israeli strike

A Palestinian child killed in Gaza this week died in a tragic accident at a funeral and not from Israeli air strikes.

Palestinians emergency services official Adham Abu Selmiya had placed the blame on Israel after Barka al-Mugrahbi, eight, was wounded on Monday.

Truce to stop Israel Gaza border violence

Anti-Israel tweeters post fake photo of Gaza wounded

Anti-Israel activists have been spreading photographs of a wounded child who they claimed was a victim of Israeli air strikes, but who in fact died in an accident six years ago.

Some of those who shared the image have since acknowledged their mistake, but hundreds have continued to circulate it as proof of Israeli aggression.

Rocket fire from Gaza to Israel enters fourth day

Violence on the border between Israel and Gaza has continued into a fourth day.

Since Friday, more than 160 rockets have been fired into Israel day and night by terrorist groups inside the Gaza Strip, including Islamic Jihad.

In retaliation for the attacks two Palestinian militants were killed on Monday morning as Israel's Air Force targeted terror cells operating in the area.
