Kerry flies in for Gaza peace talks

US Secretary of State John Kerry has flown to Cairo in a bid to further ceasefire talks between the Israeli and Palestinian leaders.

Last night, the UN Security Council called for an immediate ceasefire in light of the rising death toll and escalation of violence.

Thousands turn out to support Israel in London rally

Kensington High Street was awash with Israeli flags as British Jews flocked to south-west London to show their support at the Zionist Federation (ZF) rally this afternoon.

An estimated 5,000 Israel supporters – many wearing blue and white outfits for the event – held up placards that called for an end to Hamas terrorism.

Thousands expected at London pro-Israel rally

Thousands of Israel supporters are expected to attend a rally outside the country’s embassy in central London on Sunday.

The two-hour event, led by the Zionist Federation (ZF) and backed by 60 organisations, will recreate the sirens heard by Israeli citizens since Operation Protective Edge began last week. Deactivated missiles will also be on display.

Israeli soldier killed as IDF moves into Gaza

An Israeli soldier has been killed in Gaza on the first night of the IDF’s ground operation in the Palestinian territory.

Sergeant Eitan Barak, a 20-year-old from Hertzliya, died during the operation.

Israel said it had killed 14 terrorists overnight as it targeted Hamas’ network of tunnels in the Gaza Strip.

Once again, Iron Dome is a strategy-changer

The success of the Iron Dome missile defence system throughout Operation Protective Edge has allowed Israel to hold back, for now, from launching a ground offensive in Gaza.

The rocket shield has also allowed Israel to accept Egyptian proposals for a ceasefire, even when it was clear that Hamas would continue firing rockets.

One of the most terrifying demonstrations took place in Paris last Sunday, when a jihad-inspired march turned into what one observer likened to a "pogrom".

Protesters laid siege to Roquette Street Synagogue in the centre of the city, attacking the building with rocks as they attempted to break in.
