Bulgaria to indict Lebanese Burgas bombing suspects

The Bulgarian government is planning to indict two Lebanese men suspected of carrying out the Burgas terror bombing last year and try them in absentia if they are not extradited.

Six people were killed in the suicide attack that took place on a tourist bus in the resort of Burgas in July 2012; five of them were Israelis.

There is a surreal quality to the apparently recent discovery by some that Hizbollah is a terrorist organisation. Since the Bulgarians reported this week that last July's murders were indeed carried out by Hizbollah, there seems to have been a shocking realisation that a harmless social welfare organisation turns out instead to be a terrorist gang.

Burgas bomber 'photo' released by Bulgarian police

An image of the alleged suicide-bomber who killed six people in Bulgaria a fortnight ago has been released by police investigating the attack.

The explosion left five Israeli holidaymakers and the Bulgarian bus driver dead, and shattered the calm of the Black Sea resort of Burgas.

Police have based the computer-generated image on the head of the bomber, who is being held in a morgue.

Iran blames Israel for Bulgaria terrorist attack

Iran's UN envoy has accused Israel of staging a suicide bomb attack on its own tourists in a bus explosion last Wednesday, in which five Israelis were killed and dozens more were injured.

The attack took place at the airport of Burgas, Bulgaria, a popular seaside resort for Israeli tourists.

Israeli tourists defiant after Bulgaria terror attack

Hundreds of Jewish tourists shared a Friday night meal in the Bulgarian resort town of Burgas days after five Israelis were killed in a terror attack.

The meal was hosted by Chabad rabbi Yosef Solomon, who has also been helping the wounded and their families, as well as supporting Israeli rescue workers.
