BBC defends Iran attack web story

The BBC has defended a story based on a fake document outlining the possible scale of an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

The corporation altered the headline on its website article which focused on the claims of Richard Silverstein, a Seattle-based liberal Jewish blogger.

BBC claims 'online lobby' generated complaints over refusal to identify Israel's capital

The BBC has claimed that complaints over its refusal to identify Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in its online Olympic guide were “generated by online lobby activity”.

In response to a viewer’s complaint, the corporation’s complaints department responded: “We feel it is worth explaining that a considerable number of complaints have been generated by online lobby activity.”

Sacks versus Dawkins in BBC debate

BBC refuses to identify Israeli capital on London 2012 Olympics site

MP joins fight to save Manchester radio show
