Australian man accused of sex assault

Another Australian man has been charged with sexually assaulting a Jewish girl from an Orthodox school in Melbourne in the 1980s.

Donald Cornell, a bus driver for the Orthodox Adass Israel School and the Lubavitch-run Yeshivah Centre in the 1980s, was charged with six counts of indecent assault last month.

Brooklyn sex text rabbi caught out in police sting

A 59-year-old Brooklyn rabbi has been arrested in a police sting operation in which he allegedly attempted to meet a 14-year-old girl with whom he had been exchanging sexually explicit messages.

Rabbi Nathan David Rabinowich had in fact been sending messages to an undercover policeman, and he has now been charged with crimes including attempted rape, the New York Daily News reported.

Australian teacher faces child abuse charges

A former teacher at an Orthodox Jewish boys’ school in Melbourne has been extradited from America to face child sex abuse charges.

David Kramer, 52, was surrendered by US authorities late last week, arrested and charged with 10 counts of indecent assault and two counts of indecent acts with a child under the age of 16.

Gay ex-principal sues Australian Jewish school for millions

One of Australia’s largest Jewish schools is being sued for millions of dollars by its former principal.

Joseph Gerassi was principal of Melbourne’s Bialik College and was believed to be the first openly gay principal of a Jewish school in Australia. He is suing his former employer for unfair dismissal, the Australian newspaper The Age has reported.

Australian Holocaust denier's defamation case fails

An Australian judge has thrown out a defamation case by a convicted Holocaust denier against a Jewish leader.

Federal Court judge David Yates ruled against Adelaide’s Fredrick Toben last week in the case he brought against Jeremy Jones, a former president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.
