A Romanian mayor has sparked an outcry after he appeared in public apparently sporting an Adolf Hitler-style haircut and moustache.

The Romanian Centre for Monitoring and Combating Antisemitism filed a complaint at the public prosecutor's office against Radu Mazare, who appears to have a penchant for the Nazi look.

Communal groups say Prince Charles' Hitler-Putin remark was 'inappropriate'

Communal leaders have expressed concern over Prince Charles’s comparison of Russian president Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler over the Russian president’s actions in Ukraine.

Prince Charles made the comment speaking to Shoah survivor Marianne Ferguson during a tour of the Canadian Museum of Immigration in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

DNA test reveals Jewish ancestry of Hitler's wife, Eva Braun

DNA tests have revealed that Adolf Hitler’s wife Eva Braun had Jewish ancestry.

The scientific examination, carried out by analysing a strand of Braun’s hair from her hairbrush, show that she had a genetic sequence strongly associated with Ashkenazi Jews.

The revelation comes as part of the Channel 4 documentary Dead Famous DNA, which will be aired on Wednesday evening.

The sample of Hitler’s hair which Channel 4 paid Holocaust denier David Irving more than £3,000 for, has been revealed as a fake.

The Channel bought the sample for its documentary series Dead Famous DNA, but said tests had shown it was not authentic.

Boost in Mein Kampf sales a ‘worrying trend’

Communal leaders have expressed concern over the increase in sales of Adolf Hitler’s Nazi manifesto, Mein Kampf, but doubt that it signals a surge in antisemitism.

Amazon reported that the e-book version of Mein Kampf — translated as My Struggle — topped its UK propaganda and spin sales chart during 2013. It was also the bestseller on the site’s political science and ideology list.
