When the BBC was star-struck

Here’s the proposed new logo for the BBC — from the last episode of its satirical TV series about life within the corporation, W1A.
A PR company has been asked to come up with a branding makeover and suggests dispensing with letters for a more abstract, App-like image — a triangle, in fact two triangles. “There are threes exploding everywhere,” chirps the PR man, until the main character, BBC head of values Ian Fletcher (played by Hugh Bonneville) punctures the ambient ignorance and observes that the new design just happens to be the Star of David.
But perhaps we should echo the dim-witted marketeer Siobhan Sharpe (Jessica Hynes, pictured right) and say “Go BBC, go triangle, go David."
