The Sefer Torah written at Wannsee

El Al recently completed a unique project — a Sefer Torah written by Jews from all over the world.
Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks was among British Jews taking part.

But the most unusual venue for the scroll-writing, El Al president Eliezer Shkedy revealed this week, was the Wannsee villa in Germany, where the Nazis agreed the Final Solution in 1942.

The sacred letters were inscribed beneath the very portraits of those who sought the destruction of the Jews.
