Scoring goals has not been a problem for Neasden A this season. But exactly what Alex Bowman has been doing in their B team for the last few years is beyond me. Every time I watch him he scores goals. Especially against North London Raiders A. But on Sunday he had the audacity to bite the hand that once fed him, not once, not twice, but three times. He scored a sensational hat-trick to all but end Neasden's title hopes. And in doing so, he lifted the Lions into joint-second, with games in hand. Bowman is fleet-footed and has a wonderful eye for goal. Bringing him to Rowley Lane was a great bit of business by managers Malcolm and Josh Newman and on Sunday he paid them back big time.
