Neasden B needed the heroics of keeper Jonny Blain to earn them victory against a plucky Norstar B.
In the end, strikes from summer signings James Abrams and Bobby Abrams plus former player-manager Louis Taylor saw them home.
NWN player-boss Adam Levene told JC Sport: "It was an awful performance in the first half, with an improvement in the second.
Norstar manager David Lubczanski told JC Sport: "It was massively disappointing against NWN B. We went in at half time 1-0 up and by far the better team thanks to a great finish from Sam Levin. To lose the game 3-2, having been on top for large parts, was massively disappointing.
"The team is taking shape and is playing great football, but we must start to be more ruthless, otherwise it is going to be a struggle."
