Norstar C registered their second win after edging a seven-goal thriller in Walthamstow.
Loughton Orient came into the game high in confidence and looking to get all three points.
They looked on course for this after around 20 minutes when Jaimie Sinclair was fouled in the area and player-manager Dan Curtis coolly slotted home the penalty to make it 1-0
Loughton Orient doubled their lead five minutes later when Byron Watkins scored a terrific goal from 25 yards with the outside of the foot giving the keeper no chance.
However, at 2-0 the game is never over and Norstar struck back twice before the break to make it 2-2. A Norstar corner wasn't cleared properly and Nick Haringman scored an audacious overhead kick to bring Norstar back into the game. Then, five minutes before half time, another Norstar corner saw the ball flicked on and Luke Goldsmith was there to loop his header over the keeper. The momentum had swung and was now very much in Norstar's favour.
Not long after the restart, Norstar were in front after finding room in the box from a free kick to make it 2-3 as Haringman slotted the ball past the keeper.
With 25 minutes to go Nortar broke away and made it 2-4 whenwhen Loughton's keeper rushed out of goal, sliced his clearance to Dan Tannenbaum who coolly beat two defenders on the line with a good finish.
The game then turned slightly ugly and Loughton were reduced to 10 men, but they were now pushing forward in search of a goal to get themselves back in it. This came with three minutes to go when James Lester found the net to make it 3-4. However there was hardly any time left and that's how it finished.
Loughton Orient player-manager Dan Curtis told JC Sport: "We beat ourselves today. We never really got going and never played the football we know we can.
"It's a disappointing result and we have to move on fast and get back to winning ways next week."
DC Prediction: Loughton Orient 2 Norstar C 1
