Three points on Sunday could help Shirley Park finish the weekend top of the table. If that isn’t incentive enough for Dave Lusman’s men then I don’t know what is.

They go into their first meeting with Harmen on the back of a 3-1 defeat against Lions B. Lusman admitted his boys had an off day and were beaten by the better team on the day.

Shirley remain the league top-scorers and star man Jamie Kent will be looking to add to his 24-goal tally against a team that has been excellent defensively in the league, although Southgate fans could be fearing the worst after they were thumped 4-1 by Camden in the cup last Sunday.

Harmen have made a decent start with the recent signings hitting the ground running. With the likes of Ori Kobi and Alex Bowman in their ranks, you can see them asking questions of the Shirley back line, but the million dollar question is, will they be able to score more than they concede.

If this match was played on paper, I think Shirley would win and I think Lusman will be holding all the aces come Sunday lunchtime.
