The Cats boosted their chances of avoiding the drop a major boost with a stunning 4-1 win over in-form Raiders B at Norseman FC.

JONNY LEE was the hat-trick hero for Lester Jacobs' men, with Lewis Maleh putting the icing on the cake late on.

Catford dominated early on and felt aggrieved to go into the break at 0-0, especially as they had a good-looking goal for Jamie Sinai ruled out by a dubious offside call.

Raiders played some nice football, but the Cats felt comfortable in defence with only a couple of set-pieces putting them under any pressure.

At the start of the second half, Cats continued to attack but their shooting was wayward and they wasted a number of chances.

However, the breakthrough finally arrived in the 70th minute when Lee curled in a free-kick from nearly 30 yards out.

Soon after, Raiders put their hosts under real pressure for the first time and netted the equaliser.

But Catford restored their lead a few minutes later with Lee scoring an almost identical free-kick to the first - from the exact same position.

And within minutes, they added a third when Lee completed his hat-trick, this time scoring direct from a corner.

As the game drew to a close, Catford pushed further forward with Maleh slotting home their fourth after latching onto a superb crossfield ball from Ashley Stokes.

Catford captain Adam Luria told JC Sport: "This was a game where we saw what could have been if we'd have had our best team out every week as we were excellent in every department.

"We'd like to dedicate our win today to Eli Baraty and Dave Powell. They've both been very ill recently, and we're thrilled they're back on the mend. This was for them."
