Kyte jnr pleased with fighting spirit
London Maccabi Lions B |
2 - 1 | North West Neasden A |
| James Gold Jonny Cutter |
Lions B ran out 2-1 victors at Rowley Lane, courtesy of strikes from James Gold and Jonny Cutter.
Lions boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "Over the last couple of games we've been lacking that fighting spirit, but today we had it in abundance. Even having lost wonderkid Max Kyte to the A team, we showed that we have depth in our squad to give any club in the MSFL a game.
"All over the pitch we were fantastic - David Kosky made a fantastic save in the last minute of the game, Nick Astaire kept their strikers quiet, Adam Kosky stopped their midfield opening us up and James Gold finally got his shooting boots on kind of.
"Our next couple of games are both against teams higher than us in the league and if we take today's performance into them, I see no reason why we won't be sitting behind Glenthorne in a few weeks."
NWN boss Dan Hodes told JC Sport: "We simply lacked the quality today to create opportunities. We were very poor first half, and in the second half had enough of the ball but rarely used it well and deserved to lose. We will need to put this behind us quickly or we will very soon find ourselves in a relegation scrap."
DC Prediction: Lions B 2 Neasden A 1
