Magic man MITCH HAHN hit six of the best as Woodford eased relegation fears with a handsome win over Hendon B in west Hendon.

Dean Green, Elliot Gold and Jamie Golding joined the party, but it was Hahn who stole the headlines.

The Wanderers bounced back from a London FA Cup defeat last week with a 9-1 hammering of Hendon B. Hahn put in a man of the match performance and his manager Paul Hyams said after he was "simply unplayable".

In fact it was a good all-round solid team performance from Woodford, keeper Ben Rosenthal pulled off a superb double save in the second half to show he is getting back to his best.

Hendon's consolation came through Tali Nevies.

"This was a much-needed win for us today," Woodford gaffer Paul Hyams told JC Sport. "We have two tough games to come first we have a local derby against Glenthorne at home and then we travel back to north London to play Hendon A in the Peter Morrison cup. If we can stay consistent we are more then capable of climbing the league and giving Hendon a game in the cup."

Chairman Alex Aviram was more than delighted with today's win he said it shows "we have great bounce back ability".

Hendon joint-manager Motty Korman told JC Sport: "I wasn't there yesterday so can't comment but presume it wasnt a good performance and Mitch Hahn is a quality player the tears apart most defences - we were just unlucky he decided to play yesterday..... still have 10 games to play this season and promotion is no longer possible so the pressure is off us and we can enjoy the rest of the season."
