A stunning four-goal salvo from JAMIE KENT helped Brixton Old Boys A leapfrog Temple Fortune A in one of the few matches to beat the cold snap.

Kent was in red-hot form to fire his second treble of the season as John Nitka's men went goal crazy.

Further efforts from Alon Hershkorn, James Kaye and Rob Hershkorn completed the rout in a game the visitors had in the bag by half time.

Brixton boss John Nitka told JC Sport: "We are back scoring goals again and basically tore Temple Fortune apart in the first half leading 5-0 on 45 minutes.

"Our man of the match Alon Hershkorn, playing at centre of our defence in place of Ed Weisz, who was suspended today, did not let a ball pass him and we were without three other first team players.

"It was a tremendous display today."

Fortune assistant-manager Jack Morris told JC Sport: "As you can imagine I'm pretty angry right now

"Any team can have an 'off day' like we did today, but you just want your players to put the effort in and give their all. Unfortunately we can't say we did that today

"Myself and Lee probably made a couple of errors with tactics, but all the players out there were still capable of giving their all and they didn't.

"We need to just put this out our mind and concentrate on a massive game next week. Bouncbackability is the key word right now."
