Fantastic FC Team B stun SPEC FC

FC Team B produced a stunning display to halt promotion chasing SPEC FC.
Adam Goldsmith and Freddie Marks hit the net for Ben Simon's men.
FC Team boss Ben Simon told JC Sport: "It was a hard fought victory. The first 30 minutes was a very even affair with few chances and both teams playing within themselves to a certain extent.
"However, the next 15 minutes of the game decided the match. Firstly, we were awarded a somewhat debatable penalty which Adam Goldsmith confidently dispatched and then Freddie Marks poached home from five yards from a corner.
"The opposition came back strong in the opening stages of the second half but we stayed firm limiting them to a few half chances. Once we had ridden the initial onslaught in the second half there was only going to be one winner.
"We controlled the closing stages and perhaps should have added to our two goals if it weren't for some selfish play from several of our attackers and a goal disallowed for offside by a very excitable linesman!
"It was a very pleasing result and now makes it two wins out of two in the league for us against two of the supposedly better teams in the division.
"Our new signings are starting to bed in and we are looking forward to successful league campaign. However, we will be playing the reverse fixture next Sunday against SPEC FC and I'm sure they will be out for revenge, so we'll have to be at our best to continue this run of form."
SPEC FC spokesman Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "It was a very disappointing result today. FC Team B are a very good side but whilst there is no point going on about the penalty, it was a game-changing decision and I don't think there was a player on the pitch who thought it was a foul.
"We must react better in future though and we'll have to put in a better performance next week."
DC Prediction: FC Team B 0 SPEC FC 2
