A hat-trick from JONO GAON helped the Stars win a relegation six-pointer over Faithfold C.

Adam Jason cracked home a fourth for Norstar.

Norstar manager Jonny Bunt told JC Sport: "I think I would describe us as the less bad team of the two and in the end our superior finishing told, despite missing a couple of own goals.

"I think Faithfold were the better team until we scored after 35 minutes. Up until then they had the better chance, but with two fragile teams the first goals was always going to be crucial and second half we were the better team and ultimately deserved the win.

"Special mention must go to Jono Gaon, who is only about seven years old and 3f 2" in height, but he has a pace, strength and a wonderful finish and the second goal of his hat-trick was outstanding.

"I also want to mention our heroic keeper Ian Weinstein, who was playing through injury before collapsing in the last 20 minutes.

"It's really nice for us to pick up a win and hopefully we can kick on in the final few games and continue to avoid the drop."
